The estate features over 50 palatial rooms, neoclassical Victorian colonnades, grand arched porticos, inner zenana courtyards, and an extraordinary 4-tiered, 9-spired Navaratna Dol Mancha (swing pavilion) rising over 60 feet into the sky.
Teota holds an immortal place in Bengali literature as the ancestral maternal home of Pramila Devi (Ashalata Sengupta), the beloved wife and eternal muse of Bangladesh's National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
