1. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting or otherwise using Beautiful Bangladesh (also branded as Tourist Places BD) at this domain (the 'site'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies or notices we publish on the site. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What this site is
Beautiful Bangladesh is an independent, non-commercial travel guide to the most beautiful destinations in Bangladesh. The site is built for informational and educational purposes. It is not affiliated with the Government of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Tourism Board, or any government or tourism authority. We do not sell tickets, book hotels, or arrange tours. Where a destination is managed by a third party, we link to that third party's website rather than acting as an intermediary.
3. Editorial standards
We work hard to make the site accurate, useful and up to date. Every destination page is written to a consistent depth (overview, history, things to do, photo gallery, best time to visit, how to get there, where to stay and what to eat, travel tips, cross-links and FAQs). Each page cites a date of last update where the information is time-sensitive (visa rules, transport schedules, opening hours). If you spot an error, please tell us via the /contact page.
4. Licence to use the site
The site as a whole — its design, custom code, original photographs and original prose — is © the site owners, all rights reserved. You are welcome to read and quote the site for personal, non-commercial use (for example in a trip plan, a school project, a family newsletter or a small private blog) with clear attribution and a link back to the original page. You are not permitted to reproduce the site or large parts of it on another domain, or to use it for commercial purposes, without our written permission.
5. Third-party photographs and content
Almost all photographs on this site are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and used under their respective Creative Commons or Public Domain licences. Each photograph is credited to its author and links back to the original Commons file page. The licence for each image is set out in the figure on the destination page. If you wish to reuse one of our photographs, please reuse the original from Wikimedia Commons (under the same licence) so that the credit chain is preserved.
6. User-submitted content
This site does not currently allow user-submitted reviews or comments. If we add that feature in the future, we will require you to grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish your submission, and we will moderate submissions for spam, hate speech and unlawful content. Anything you submit is your responsibility: please do not post anything defamatory, illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.
7. External links
From time to time the site links to external websites — for example government tourism portals, transport operators, accommodation providers, or a video on YouTube. We try to link only to reputable, relevant sites, but we do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or whether they are still online. Following an external link is at your own risk.
8. Travel safety and accuracy disclaimer
Travel information changes constantly. Visa rules, transport schedules, prices, opening hours, weather warnings, and even the safety of specific destinations can change between our last update and your trip. We do our best to keep the site current, but we cannot guarantee that every fact on the site is accurate at the moment you read it. Always verify visa, transport, safety and health information with an official source — your embassy, the relevant national authority, or a licensed local guide — before you travel. We are not a travel agency, an insurance provider, or a legal advisor, and we cannot accept responsibility for the consequences of relying on information from this site.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site owners disclaim all warranties (express or implied) and accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the site. This includes (without limitation) any loss of profit, loss of data, business interruption, personal injury or any other indirect, incidental or consequential damage, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage. Nothing in this clause is intended to limit any liability that cannot be excluded by your local law (for example liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify the site owners against any loss, claim or damage (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the site for any user who, in our reasonable opinion, breaches these Terms or misuses the site. We may also take down individual pages or the entire site at any time, with or without notice.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site owner is established. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring an action in your own country.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The 'Last updated' date below will change when we do, and for substantial changes we will display a banner on the home page for 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change indicates that you accept the updated Terms.
