Kanaipur Zamindar Bari (also known as the Shikder Bari) is a sprawling 18th-century landed estate located in Kanaipur village along the tranquil banks of the Kumar River, roughly 9 kilometres west of Faridpur district town. Founded during the late Mughal era by Zamindar Bhabeswar Roy, the estate expanded into one of the wealthiest and most influential aristocratic seats in the greater Faridpur region.
The palace complex is framed by an imposing arched entrance gateway that leads into a vast tree-shaded courtyard. The main residential mansion (Kachharibari) features majestic Corinthian columns, grand two-storey balconies, decorative stucco pediments, and expansive rooms with high timber-beam ceilings that once housed royal courts and administrative treasuries.
